We're Nathan and Calvin — two former Disney cast members, avid cruisers, and the people behind Rainbow Waves Travel. We started this agency because we believe great travel doesn't happen by accident. It happens when someone who genuinely loves it is in your corner.

How it started

We didn't plan to start a travel agency. The Mediterranean had other ideas.

It started with what was, objectively, a slightly chaotic idea: take our one-year-old son on a Mediterranean cruise. Long flights, big luggage, questionable nap schedules — we knew what we were signing up for.

But then we found the best swingset in Spain. We shared a croissant in Italy. And we watched the sun melt into the Mediterranean as a family, and none of it mattered anymore. That feeling — the one that makes every hard mile worth it — is what we'd been chasing our whole lives without quite knowing it.

Rainbow Waves Travel was born from that trip. From the belief that the right travel experience, planned with real care, can change you. And from two people who wanted to help others find that feeling too.

Nathan is the logistics engine behind Rainbow Waves Travel. While Calvin is dreaming up the next destination, Nathan is deep in the details — the transfers, the timing, the things that make a trip feel seamless rather than stressful. His background in Learning & Development means he thinks in systems, and his years at Disney taught him that the magic is almost always in the details others miss.

Nathan's travel philosophy: a great trip isn't just where you go — it's how well it's been thought through before you leave.

Calvin

Co-founder · The dreamer

Calvin is the vision behind every trip Rainbow Waves books. He researches destinations obsessively, dreams up itineraries others wouldn't think of, and brings an insider's knowledge of the travel industry that's hard to replicate. After more than a decade with American Airlines, he knows how travel actually works — not just how it's supposed to.

Calvin's travel philosophy: the best trip is usually the one that surprises you. His job is to find the version of your dream that's even better than you imagined.
